Design Your Dream

Step One - Lot Selection

You will meet with a Willowbrook Homes Specialist to help you pick a lot or do an assesment on a lot you may already have.  We can foresee any contruction concerns or added costs that should be considered before you build.

Step Two - Project Discussion

You may have some plans in mind or an approximate size of home that you are considering.  At this time we like to determine the budget, this is our simple formula...Design + Specifications = Budget. At this time we also discuss some of the other costs that should be considered for your land such as septic fields, roads, wells, and possible retaining walls.

Step Three - Design

We use the best designers in the Calgary area and have developed a process with each of them to help control design costs and keep changes to a minimum.  We create what is called a preliminary plan which is very easy to change but also has a scale to it which allows us to estimate the cost of your home. 

Step Four - Budgeting

Once we have created a preliminary plan and a specification we review the estimate that you have been presented.  You may at this time like to make some adjustment to either the design or the specifications to fit your budget. you will also need to make some specific selections at this time.

Step Five - Contract Pricing

After you have approved your preliminary plans, specifications and budget we will get  the working drawings completed.  Once we have the working drawings we will get final pricing completed and our trades and suppliers selected.  This may take 2 - 3 weeks to complete.

Step Six - Construction Agreement 

You will be presented with a formal construction agreement with the finalized pricing and specifications.

Step Seven - Architectural Controls

If you are in a development that has architectural controls we will submit the plans for approval at this time.
